Hwy 61 Roadhouse is hiring a Bar & Floor Hospitality Team Member who can confidently work behind the bar AND take care of guests on the restaurant floor. We're looking for someone with personality, hustle, and a strong sense of hospitality. One shift you may be behind the bar mixing drinks and taking care of regulars. Another shift you may have a serving section. On our busiest nights, you may be doing a little bit of everything. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll work as part of our Front of House team and may be scheduled for both bartending and serving shifts.

Your responsibilities include:

Bartending and serving guests Preparing cocktails and mixed drinks according to house recipes Serving draft beer, bottled beer, wine, and liquor Taking accurate food and beverage orders Entering every order into the POS Providing fast, friendly, and attentive service Learning our food and beverage menus Suggesting appetizers, entrées, cocktails, premium spirits, and desserts Checking IDs and following responsible alcohol-service procedures Following established drink recipes and pour standards Running food and drinks Pre-bussing and resetting tables Restocking the bar throughout the shift Keeping the bar and service areas clean and organized Handling cash and credit-card transactions accurately Completing opening and closing responsibilities Helping teammates when they get busy

THIS IS A TEAM POSITION

At Hwy 61 Roadhouse, we don't believe in: "That's not my table." If you see a guest who needs something, help them. If food needs to be run, run it. If the bar gets slammed, jump in. If tables need to be cleaned, help reset them. If supplies are getting low, restock them. Great shifts happen when everyone works together.

BAR ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS

We expect our bartenders to treat the bar like a business.

That means:

Ring drinks into the POS correctly Follow established pour standards No free drinks No unauthorized discounts or comps Keep accurate tabs Follow cash-handling procedures Maintain an organized bar Minimize waste and over-pouring Keep liquor, beer, mixers, and supplies properly stocked Fast service is important—but accuracy and accountability come first.

Our ideal candidate: Has previous bartending and/or serving experience Is comfortable working both bar and serving shifts Has a friendly and outgoing personality Can communicate confidently with guests Works quickly without sacrificing accuracy Understands basic cocktails, beer, and liquor Can handle multiple guests and orders at once Stays calm when the restaurant gets busy Is dependable and shows up on time Keeps their work area clean Understands the importance of upselling Works well with FOH and kitchen employees Can work nights and weekends Is comfortable working busy live-music nights Brings a positive attitude to every shift
