We're Hiring at the Historic Bale of Hay Saloon in Virginia City! Come be part of Montana's most legendary watering hole. The Bale of Hay Saloon — the oldest bar in Montana — is now hiring a Barback / Food Runner for the 2026 summer season. We're looking for an energetic, dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and is ready to jump in wherever needed.

Position:

Barback / Food Runner Support both the bar and kitchen by keeping operations running smoothly. This hybrid role is essential to delivering a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Stock and prep the bar (ice, glassware, garnishes, beer, etc.) Support bartenders during busy service Run food quickly and accurately to guests Keep service areas clean, organized, and fully stocked Communicate effectively with both kitchen and bar teams
