Job Details Poison Ivy Brewing Company is a locally owned craft brewery and taproom focused on well-executed beer, efficient service, and a relaxed but professional guest experience. We operate a production brewery with an active taproom and community-driven events, and we take both beer quality and hospitality seriously. We're looking for a reliable, experienced bartender who can handle both opening and closing shifts and wants consistent responsibility—not just prime-time hours. Must understand craft beer, and values consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork. This role is ideal for a bartender who is comfortable running the bar independently, managing opening setup, closing procedures, and everything in between. Candidates with flexible availability and the ability to cover both early and late shifts will be given priority. Qualifications 1+ year bartending experience required Brewery, taproom, or high-volume bar experience preferred Strong time management and situational awareness Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable following opening/closing checklists TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol certification (or ability to obtain) What We Offer Competitive hourly wage + tips Predictable scheduling for openers and closers A professional, low-drama environment Training on house systems and service standards Opportunity for increased responsibility and hours over time Availability Requirements Must be available for both opening (3:30 M-TH, 1:30 Fri, and 11:30 SAT-SUN) and closing shifts (closing is 10pm M-TH, 11pm FRI and SAT, 8pm SUN and requires cleanup afterwards (Preferred) Evening and weekend availability required Ability to work independently during low-volume openers and high-volume closers (Applicants with limited availability may be considered, but preference will be given to those who can reliably cover both.) Responsibilities Open and close the taproom according to established procedures Prepare the bar for service (setup, stocking, cleanliness) Deliver fast, professional guest service during all service periods Accurately pour beer to house standards Manage POS transactions and cash reconciliation Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout shifts Monitor alcohol service and guest behavior responsibly Support events, private rentals, and high-volume days
Pay:
$15.00 - $30.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you available to work from 3:30pm - 10:30pm M-TH and 1:30-11:30 Fridays?
