Job Description
We're looking for a seasoned, "dive" bartender(s) to join our team in the heart of downtown Durham for Part-time or Full-time. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with guests, and wants the freedom to bring creativity and personality behind the bar. Our ideal candidate(s) knows how to balance speed, consistency, and hospitality while helping create the welcoming neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back. If you're passionate about creating drinks and good conversation, we recommend applying. Duties include, but are not limited to: Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including classic cocktails, beer, shots, wine, and non-alcoholic options Deliver friendly, engaging service and build genuine relationships with regulars and first-time guests alike Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service Handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently Monitor guest consumption responsibly and follow all alcohol service regulations Assist with restocking and opening/closing duties Work alongside ownership/management for new creations Requirements Previous bartending experience required; dive bar or general bar experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of beer, spirits, and bar operations Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy shifts Experience with POS systems and cash handling Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations What We Offer Competitive and consistent gratuity A creative environment where personality and ideas are encouraged Opportunity to be part of a well-established downtown Durham bar with a loyal following A fun, energetic workplace centered around hospitality, community, and good times Growth opportunities for motivated hospitality professionals
