As a brand new botanical cocktail lounge opening soon in Durham , we are building our founding team and seeking skilled, thoughtful, and hospitality-driven Bartenders who are excited to help shape our culture from day one. This role is for someone who thrives in elevated, high-touch environments and takes pride in delivering beautifully executed cocktails and meaningful guest interactions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, precision, and artistry. Operate the Toast POS system accurately for orders, payments, and tabs. Engage guests with warmth, professionalism, and intuitive service, creating memorable experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually refined bar environment at all times. Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible service in accordance with ABC and house policies. Handle cash, credit, and POS transactions with accuracy and integrity. Restock, rotate, and maintain bar inventory while minimizing waste. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless service during high-volume periods and special events. Contribute ideas and creativity toward menu development, seasonal features, and guest experiences. Qualifications & Experience Previous bartending experience in upscale bars, cocktail lounges, restaurants, or hospitality-driven venues preferred. Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail techniques. Experience with POS systems (Toast preferred). Understanding of responsible alcohol service and food safety standards. Excellent multitasking and time management skills in fast-paced settings. Strong cash-handling and basic math skills. Background in fine dining, event service, or craft cocktail environments is a plus. Ability to remain calm, attentive, and guest-focused under pressure.
