Food and Beverage Manager Supervises:

Casual Dining Bar and Grill $11.00 plus tips

•

Position Summary:

•The Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the day to day of a casuel bar and grill. Works with Dining and other departments to ensure members' and guests' expectations are exceeded, and the highest quality food and service are delivered.

Position Characteristics:

A successful Supervisor is a career professional who possesses a desire to develop the Club's catering and dining operation. He/She will be prompt and efficient. He/She provides excellent customer service with the utmost professional integrity and sincerity. He/She must be courteous, polite, and show initiative and enthusiasm with members, guests and staff.

Job Tasks/Duties:

•Including but not limited to

•: Receives and resolves complaints concerning service during dining and private parties Plans dining room set-up based on anticipated guest counts and client needs for special events and private parties Utilizes POS System to accurately charge members. Makes suggestions about improvements in dining room service procedures and layout Transmits necessary information to and coordinates event planning with production, serving; arranges for printing of menus, procuring of decorations, entertainment and other special requests, etc. May serve as club's opening and closing manager or manager on duty Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff Attends staff and management meetings to review policies and procedures, future business and to continually develop quality and image of event functions and special events Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the

Food and Beverage Director Additional Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and multitask Proficient knowledge of ABC laws Skilled bartender with at least 4 years experience. Be able to work late nights and every weekend. Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to change Maintain a positive attitude and remain professional Keeps abreast of industry trends relative to the food & beverage and event operation Absorb suggestions and criticism and communicate to upper management Strive daily to make the workplace and member/guest experience better Professional written & verbal communication skills Preferred Education and/or experience: This position generally requires a minimum of 2 years experience in Restaurant Management, and/or equivalent experience in hospitality services and knowledge of fine foods and wine. Previous knowledge, skills and abilities serving, supervising and training in a fine dining environment as well as extensive knowledge of spirits and wine.
