They prepare and serves drinks with courtesy and efficiency, maintaining a spotless bar at all times; provides bottled wine service, orders supplies, and assists with physical inventory. The Bartender constantly strives to give excellent friendly service.
Primary Responsibilities Computer Drink Orders:
prepares all drink orders that come in through the bar station in accordance with the specifications on the tape, assuring that no drink is served before it is rung on the computer.Bar Service:
mixes and serves all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests in bar area, this includes mixed drinks, wine, bottle and draft beer and coffee drinks. The Bartender ensures all drinks are rung on the computer immediately on serving or before.Food Service:
sells and serves food at the bar and bar tables and may assist the service staff in selling and serving food items in the bar area. The Bartender must know the method of preparation, ingredients, portion sizes, preparation time, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method of presentation for all menu items and be able to accurately describe and sell the items to the guests.Computer Use/Collection of Tender:
must be able to use both computer and manual systems for processing checks correctly, including additions, omissions and correct pricing. The Bartender verifies their bank and is accountable for all cash and charge sales collected.Stocking/Supplies:
responsible for requisitioning beer and wine according to par stock levels. The Bartender strictly observes all par stock levels including glassware, straws, napkins, juices, olives, etc. and reports any irregularities to the Manager immediately.Sidework:
responsible for specific sidework duties including stocking and cleaning responsibilities.Work Area/Storage Rooms:
maintains a clean bar area, maintains the beer storage room and wine storage rooms in an orderly fashion, ensuring that the bar is always clean, neat, orderly and that the operating rules are adhered toSetup/Close:
sets up the bar station and closes down the station daily. Familiarity withStock:
completely familiar with all liquor brands, recipes for cocktails, glassware, garnishes, coffee machine and Food Server procedure. They are familiar with all beverage lists including the wine list, specialty drinks and wines by the glass and is creative in new drinks recipes. The bartender is also responsible for all beverage inventories and requisitions.Liquor Regulations:
must be familiar with and strictly abide by liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors or to intoxicated persons.Service Handbook:
thoroughly familiar with and complies with guidelines specified in the Employee and Service Handbooks.Training and Meetings:
all training sessions and meetings as called by management such as wine seminars and Service meetings. All other work-related duties as assigned by management. Requirements- Proven Skill in handling multiple tasks, balancing competing priorities, staying calm in the face of pressure and resolving conflict
