The Historic Wakefield Barn is seeking dependable individuals to join our event team as Barbacks! This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible, part-time position that works around their existing schedule. Rather than committing to a set weekly schedule, team members can pick up available shifts based on event needs and their availability. As a Barback, you will support our bartenders and help ensure the bar operates smoothly throughout weddings and special events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working with a team, and being part of creating memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assist bartenders with stocking, organizing, and replenishing beverages, ice, cups, and bar supplies throughout events. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable bar area. Assist with bar setup before events and breakdown and cleanup at the conclusion of the evening. Follow venue procedures for cleanliness, safety, and responsible alcohol service. Work collaboratively with bartenders, venue staff, and other event team members to ensure a seamless event experience. Qualifications Must be 18 or older. Must meet applicable age requirements for the position and comply with venue alcohol-service policies. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting and carrying bar supplies. Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team. Schedule & Compensation Flexible scheduling: Pick up available shifts based on your availability and the venue's event calendar.

Tip pool participation:

Barbacks receive a portion of the event's shared tip pool in recognition of their contributions to the bar team.
