Job Description

Overview We are seeking a professional, service-oriented Server/Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team at our golf club. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a member-focused environment, and is committed to providing exceptional dining and beverage service to members and guests. This position requires flexibility to support daily dining operations, golf tournaments, private events, and club functions while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Responsibilities Provide exceptional food and beverage service to club members, guests, and event attendees in a courteous and professional manner. Welcome members by creating a warm, personalized, and memorable dining experience. Accurately take food and beverage orders using the club's POS system. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, daily features, wine list, beer selection, and specialty cocktails to confidently answer questions and make recommendations. Communicate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests clearly to the culinary team. Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation, accuracy, and quality meet club standards. Anticipate member needs by providing attentive table service, refilling beverages, clearing courses, and responding promptly to requests. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly while following all applicable liquor laws and club policies. Assist with tournament food and beverage service, member events, and other special club functions. Set up, maintain, and break down dining rooms, banquet spaces, beverage stations, and outdoor service areas. Handle member charges accurately and confidentially. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, bars, service stations, patios, and beverage areas. Restock supplies, glassware, garnishes, ice, and service items throughout each shift. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards. Work collaboratively with golf operations, kitchen staff, banquet teams, and fellow service staff to ensure seamless member experiences. Be available to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament days. Stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 25 pounds. Qualifications Previous experience as a server and/or bartender in a restaurant, private club, resort, country club, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment preferred. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating exceptional member experiences. Experience using POS systems and handling member accounts and cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Experience with country club service is highly preferred. Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with private club standards.
