Overview Join our vibrant team as a Barback at a lively local pub, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create an exceptional experience for every guest. In this dynamic role, you'll be the backbone of the bar operation, supporting bartenders and ensuring the venue runs smoothly. Your proactive approach to cleanliness, food prep, and customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality, food handling, and bar operations while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Duties Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware efficiently throughout shifts Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including cleaning spills, wiping down surfaces, and organizing supplies Support food preparation tasks such as prepping garnishes or assisting with simple food service when needed Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a tidy environment for guests Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy Help set up and break down event spaces for banquets or catering functions within the venue Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards in all activities Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments such as restaurants, bars, or hotels is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing and cashiering Experience working in nightclub settings or banquet events provides valuable insight into high-volume service scenarios Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential for maintaining hygiene standards Strong communication skills are vital for coordinating with team members and delivering excellent customer service Prior kitchen or barista experience can be beneficial in understanding beverage preparation and customer interactions Demonstrated ability to multitask in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering memorable experiences through exceptional service!
