Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectationsCleaning and sanitizing Guest touch points in the restaurantSeat each Guest in a timely manner and effectively manage the waitlist I-pad system and at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference when applicableSet up host/hostess stand, review guest reservation, and make recommendations as to the set-up of the roomMaintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each serverAnswer telephones and take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel serviceAnticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistentlyInspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specialsRelay customer concerns and compliments to leadershipAssist guests in food and beverage selection by describing specials or menu changes, answering food preparation questionsTaking the order and upselling where possible, relaying orders to kitchen or preparing food directly, identifying any special requestsDelivering completed orders to customer providing appropriate accompaniments or garnishes, ensuring that all orders meet proper presentation and quality standardsPackaging to go orders as needed, dispensing beverages, calculating bills and collecting payment from guestsEnsuring sufficient levels of inventory in storage rooms, refrigerators, and freezersproper temperature in refrigerators and coolers, proper safety, sanitation, and food handling standardsMaintain and efficiently run snack bar by managing cash drawer--verifying the balance, counting the money, and recording the amount and balances of each dayMay assist in training other snack bar attendants
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Work ExperienceMust be 18 years of age or olderMust have current Food Handlers Certification through Carson City Health and Human Services DepartmentExperience in cash handling and credit card transactions preferredKnowledge of proper food preparation, storage, and sanitationAbility to operate calculator, POS, coffee and soda dispensers, deep fryer, meat slicer, pizza oven, and flat top grillIdentification that establishes identityIdentification that establishes the right to work in the United States
