Job Description
Overview Common Roots Brewing Company is looking for an energetic and hardworking individual to join our Taproom team at the Albany Outpost! This position is for evening availability 2-3 nights per week serving as a bartender and eventually training as a supervisor to safely close and secure the building and business for the day. Duties Prepare and serve craft beers, cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and exceptional customer service Manage cash handling, processing transactions accurately while maintaining accountability for sales and tips using Toast POS Work with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily taproom operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Lead the team by providing consistent customer service and adhering to standard daily operating procedures. Engage with guests proactively to enhance their experience through personalized recommendations and attentive service. Maintain cleanliness of the bar and taproom area, ensure proper food safety protocols are followed, and monitor responsible alcohol service. Experience Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles with a focus on bartending or beverage service. Strong knowledge of craft beer styles. Prior supervisory experience in a bar or restaurant setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for processing sales efficiently. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts smoothly while maintaining high-quality service standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for inventory control, and accurate transaction processing.
