Position Overview:
At Sundog Downtown Clubhouse, our Bartenders are at the heart of the guest experience. They bring energy, creativity, and genuine hospitality to every pour—crafting drinks, sharing recommendations, and creating an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Our bartenders are confident behind the bar and attentive to every guest, ensuring each visit feels special.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding service and create a welcoming, upbeat environment for guests Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and flair Engage guests in conversation, learn their preferences, and offer tailored drink or food recommendations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout each shift Manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with ordering when needed Contribute ideas for new cocktails, seasonal features, and promotions Operate POS systems to take orders, process payments, and ensure accuracy Verify guests' legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service and safety guidelines Support fellow team members and help create a cohesive front-of-house environment Take pride in creating a fun, memorable experience that represents the Sundog brand
Qualifications:
Prior bartending or hospitality experience is required Enthusiastic, personable, and guest-focused attitude Strong knowledge or interest in spirits, beer, wine, and cocktails Ability to multitask and thrive in a lively, fast-paced setting Team-oriented with excellent communication skills Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods Must meet the minimum age to serve alcohol Willingness to obtain any required local certifications or licenses Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule & Compensation:
4-5 shifts per week, 40 hours, flexible hours (early morning, daytime, or evening options). Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Part-time Schedule:
Nights and weekends required Reports to: Director of Operations
