Holiday Inn Express and Suites- Latham Holiday Inn Express & Suites is seeking a friendly, reliable, and experienced Banquet Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service at on-site events, meetings, and special occasions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Set up, stock, and break down banquet bar areas according to event specifications Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and responsible manner Interact with guests in a courteous, engaging, and professional way Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws Maintains full knowledge of beer products and descriptions. Knowledgeable of proper glassware and pouring techniques. Knowledgeable of wine, liquor and other featured beverages. Can prepare tap cocktails to recipe specifications and serving procedures. Knowledgeable about bar food offerings and current promotions. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and handle difficult situations appropriately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area before, during, and after events Accurately track and report beverage usage and inventory Work collaboratively with banquet servers, event staff, and management to ensure smooth event execution Washes glassware according to proper sanitation guidelines. Follows opening/closing checklists to prepare for business and close down at end of shift. Qualifications Must be over 21 Previous bartending experience required; banquet or hotel experience preferred TIPS/Serve Safe/ ATAP certified preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Understands basic money handling and can make proper change and process credit card transactions. Professional appearance and demeanor Commitment to excellent guest service Position requires multi-tasking abilities Able to Bend, stoop, and kneel To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
