Seeking a professional and skilled Bartender to join our team and execute at the highest level. You will represent the restaurant with your words and actions and are the face of the restaurant to your guests. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, a deep understanding of the culinary and beverage programs, and the ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations with a high degree of professionalism, a sense of urgency and poise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Guest Service and Hospitality:
Possess a positive attitude and use respectful, polite language when conversing with our guests and the team. Provide personalized, polished and attentive service from the moment guests are seated until they depart. Interact with guests warmly and assist the team as needed. Anticipate guest needs proactively , offering assistance before being asked. Maintain an impeccable and professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace, professionalism, and a sense of urgency. Take orders accurately, including any modifications, allergies or dietary restrictions. Process payments efficiently and handle all transactions with accuracy. Manage multiple guests and complex service situations with efficiency and composure. Memorizing menu ingredients and components with a clear understanding of techniques and our cuisine. Maintain a spotless bar top and back-bar; clean glassware, tools, and coolers according to DOH standards. Prepare garnishes, house-made syrups, and fresh juices; ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware, ice, and spirits before and during service. Strictly enforce legal drinking age requirements by checking IDs and monitor guest alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service (TIPs/ServSafe Alcohol certifications a plus). Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in a high-volume, fine-dining or upscale restaurant. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and patience. Grace under pressure and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails. Beverage certifications (WSET or CMS) are a plus. Proficiency with Toast (POS) system. Ability to stand for long shifts and lift kegs or cases of liquor (up to 50 lbs). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
