Our newest location combines state-of-the-art golf simulators, a full-service bar, comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and a partnership with an exceptional on-site restaurant to create an experience unlike anything else in Northeast Ohio. We're looking for an energetic, personable Bartender who takes pride in hospitality and enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests. This is more than simply making drinks. You'll be one of the faces of the club—welcoming members and guests, preparing quality beverages, assisting with club operations, and helping create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Our bartenders will play an important role in keeping the club running smoothly during their shifts. We're looking for someone who is confident in taking initiative, solving problems, and helping lead the guest experience when needed. What You'll Do Welcome Ohio Golf Club members and guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and premium spirits according to club standards Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer guest questions about beverages Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout each shift Complete opening and closing duties, including bar setup, breakdown, cleaning, restocking, and securing the facility Take responsibility for the smooth operation of the club during shifts when a manager is not on site Monitor the club and ensure club policies, service standards, and procedures are being followed Address routine guest questions and concerns professionally and use good judgment when resolving issues Know when to involve the Club Manager or ownership with situations that require management assistance Accurately process guest checks, payments, and cash transactions through the POS system. Count down & reset drawers at the end of the night. Verify identification and follow all Ohio liquor laws and responsible alcohol-service practices Maintain proper portion control and minimize waste Assist with beverage inventory, receiving, stocking, and organization Coordinate with the on-site restaurant when necessary regarding club operations Assist guests with golf simulator operation and basic troubleshooting Help guests understand club policies, amenities, reservations, and general operations Support leagues, tournaments, private events, and special events as needed Communicate effectively with the Club Manager and other team members Build relationships with regular club guests and contribute to a welcoming Ohio Golf Club community Help maintain a clean, organized, and polished environment throughout the club Jump in wherever needed to help the team deliver an exceptional experience for Ohio Golf Club guests What We're Looking For Previous bartending experience is required Hospitality, restaurant, country club, brewery, golf, entertainment, or other customer-service experience is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine enjoyment of working with people Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Confident making decisions and handling routine situations without direct supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails preferred Willingness to learn our beverage program and club standards Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash and credit-card transactions Reliable, professional, and dependable Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Able to work independently while also being a strong team player Comfortable interacting with both members and first-time guests Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout a shift Golf experience is a plus—but not required.
