Who are we? Foundry Social is the premier Northeast Ohio entertainment facility, and is located in the heart of Medina, Ohio. We serve guests and clients from Cleveland, Akron, Medina, and surrounding communities. We are looking for a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. To succeed as a Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. You will work in a lively environment, whose core business and mission to bring fun and connection to people of all ages. We are committed to our employees and dedicated to making a difference in their lives and in the lives of our guests. Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Fine Print Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
Work with bar manager on drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials. Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers. Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked. Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations and certifications Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register. Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment. Attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis/Ubers or other transportation for intoxicated patrons Skills and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or equivalent plus two years bartending experience in high volume/fast paced restaurants.
The job requires the ability to lead and guide the work of others and perform multiple tasks concurrently to maintain service commitments.
Other Qualifications:
Certification in alcohol responsibility. (TIPS, SafeServ)Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong task and time management abilities. Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 20 percent of the time while operating their computer and interacting with the customer. Generally, the individual needs to consistently move about inside the facility. They constantly operate a computer, communication headset, and other office productivity machinery. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the facility while interacting with multiple areas. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and adjust as necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals (cleaning/sanitary chemical). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
