Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team (Monday availability is required). The ideal candidate will have experience in full beverage service, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with POS systems such as Square, along with a solid understanding of responsible alcohol service, is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, sales ability, and proficiency in cashiering. Knowledge of craft beer is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using the Square POS system. Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience from order to completion. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with safety standards. Manage cash handling transactions accurately, including cashing out guests and balancing registers at shift end. Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and adhere to alcohol service laws. Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts. Collaborate with event coordinators for special events such as fundraisers or celebration functions. Uphold all health regulations related to beverage preparation and sanitation standards. Assist in setting up for events or as required. Qualifications Familiarity with POS systems such as Square. Outgoing personality with positive attitude. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math applications, and calculating bills or tips accurately. Knowledge of safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations. Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous. Self-sufficient; ability to work alone at times.
