Job Description
Maintain confidentiality:
refrain from gossip, rumors or inappropriate workplace language. Interact professionally at all times with guests, suppliers and other team members. Support management business decisions. Learn and comply with The Allison Inn & Spa policies and procedures. Follows all safety policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Bartend & provide exceptional customer service to guests within the bar by providing drinks and food orders. Prepare drinks for our guests and servers in a timely manner. Maintain bar area stocked and clean. Display a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Able to know and promote bar items, all food menu items and any on-going promotions. Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. Serve & deliver genuine, exceptional service to our dining guests. Have enthusiasm and knowledge of our menu offerings, extensive drink menu and any on-going promotion. Taking accurate orders of food and beverage while giving attentive, revenue-generating suggestions. Be able to provide professional and friendly dining experience to ensure guest satisfaction at all times. Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Team player attitude. Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Any additional duties assigned by management Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications Have a minimum of one (1) year serving/bartending experience in a similar food and beverage environment. Having a sound knowledge of wines and wine service is an asset. Have excellent bartending skills and knowledge Display high initiative, be self-motivated and require minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills in English reading, written and spoken. OLCC license Food handlers permit Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays. Ability to effectively communicate with all team members. An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service. Successfully pass a pre-employment background check. Ability to operate point of sale computer system. Working conditions/Physical Requirements Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of boxes, supplies, etc. Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas. Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas and to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level is moderate. The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the team member moves between guest spaces, outdoors and refrigerators for example.
