Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Take food and beverage orders and make recommendations when appropriate. Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations. Accurately process cash, credit card, room charge, and other transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, and equipment. Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed. Monitor guest consumption and exercise responsible alcohol service practices. Maintain knowledge of current drink menus, specials, promotions, and hotel offerings. Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory and cash reconciliation. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and requests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous bartending experience preferred. Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certifications. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to work in a busy hospitality environment.
