Job Description
Job Summary Must be available to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Are you a fun, energetic, outgoing people person who loves to work in a fast paced environment? Do you love food and craft beer? If so, Levity Brewing Co. Altoona may be the place for you! We are currently looking for folks that fit this description to join our exceptional team. We offer flexible schedules, a light hearted environment, food and beer discounts (to those of age of course!) and an all around upbeat atmosphere! Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality in every pour Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS system. Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates based on current trends and guest preferences Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor alcohol consumption in compliance with legal regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions Requirements Proven experience as an outgoing, energetic and all around friendly person! Knowledge of POS systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated understanding of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and alcohol regulations Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail Experience in fine dining settings or hospitality industry experience preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus Strong math skills for retail math, basic math calculations, and cash handling accuracy Familiarity with beverage trends such as craft beer, spirits, mixology techniques, wine knowledge, and brewing processes is highly desirable Join us as a Bartender where your enthusiasm fuels memorable moments!
