Job Description
Job Overview An internationally awarded winery and distillery is seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Bartender to elevate our guests experience through expert beverage service, innovative cocktail creation, and comprehensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and craft beverages. The position is part-time including weekends, holidays and 1-2 weekdays. Rate of pay is hourly plus tip pool sharing, with opportunities for growth. As a lead bartender, you will assist our manager in creating craft cocktail lists & specials, bar inventory, and take on other lead responsibilities delegated to you if a manager is unavailable. Your enthusiasm for the industry and commitment to excellence should inspire the team and our guests, creating memorable moments that keep visitors coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mixology skills and deepen your expertise in the wine and spirit industry. Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of beverage quality and presentation. Develop and refine beverage recipes, including cocktails, wine pairings, and signature drinks that highlight our unique offerings. Manage daily bar operations, including inventory control, restocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Provide expert guidance on wine, spirits, craft beers, and cocktail selections to enhance guest experiences. Process cash and card transactions accurately using Square POS systems. Proper serving techniques and responsible alcohol service practices. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests professionally and ensuring their needs are met promptly. Handling some food preparation, such as cheese and charcuterie boards. Requirements Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles with a focus on bar management or mixology. Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, craft beer, cocktail recipes, and beverage development techniques. RAMP training and certification will be provided if not currently certified. Strong skills in POS systems. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple priorities during busy service hours and using down-time to complete side work and other responsibilities. Prior experience in dining or bar establishments. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.
