Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Halfway House Attendant/Bartender, where you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for members and guests alike. This position combines the responsibilities of managing bar service with ensuring the smooth operation of our halfway house facility. You'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing food and beverage operations, and maintaining a secure and positive atmosphere. Your energetic approach will help foster community, support recovery efforts, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and safety. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines. Manage cash handling, cashiering, and sales transactions accurately while maintaining accountability for all financial exchanges. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with members and guests, addressing their needs promptly, and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by properly handling food, beverages, and related supplies in compliance with food industry regulations. Oversee the bar area during shifts, including stocking supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations related to food handling. Support event catering or banquet functions by assisting with setup, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Utilize strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is a plus but not required basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and alcohol serving regulations. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters community engagement. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
