Job Description
Nestled in the scenic Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Woodloch Resort encompasses an award-winning family resort (Woodloch Pines), championship golf course (Woodloch Springs) and a luxury destination spa (The Lodge at Woodloch). Follows standardized drink recipes, garnishes and glassware specifications.
Takes accurate and correct food and beverage ordersUses suggestive selling techniquesMeets all service timing standardsWorks quickly during busy times to service all bar guestsWelcomes, thanks and invites guests to returnProvides prompt and courteous service to each guestMaintains excellent cash handling skillsUnderstands alcohol management, including procedures for checking ID's, recognizing personal limits of guests, using best judgment when serving alcohol and refusing serviceUnderstands Point of Sales system and processes transactions efficientlyMaintains open communication with management and co-workersInforms Management of guest concerns, safety concerns and maintenance issuesActs as final check on food and beverage quality and presentationPerforms opening, running and closing duties, as assignedAssists co-workers at all times, continuously providing teamworkMaintains cleaning standardsDuring the shift, cleans and sanitizes equipment and utensils, and washes glasswarePerforms functions which require organization, speed, standing, bending, reaching, turning, lifting itemsMaintains par levels by continuously restocking the bar of consumables, supplies, ice and alcoholMixes drinks for bar guestMixes drinks for wait staff at service barConstantly cleans bar topKeeps back bar clean and organizedUses beer/beverage dispensers, blenders, cappuccino machine, glass washers, frozen drink machineChanges beer kegs, weighing up to 50 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and have the ability to lift or use force up to 100 pounds. It is helpful while working in this position to meet the following vision requirements; close vision(clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision ( ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Working at this job, the employee encounters the following conditions; work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat (non-weather).The noise level in this position is moderate at times. Why work in my department
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Barkeeper mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar following standard recipes. Serves wine and draught or bottled beer. Collects money for drinks served. Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make an attractive display. May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinksESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

- People typically go to bars for the social atmosphere. As the person pouring the drinks, you get to know a lot of different guests. Flexible Schedule
- Our bars are open from 11am until 2 am. With such a large amount of time being open, we are adaptable to everyone's schedule. Many bartenders start bartending as a part time job before going full time. Creative Job
