Job Description

Little Water is looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team! This is a full time position, paid hourly + tips and candidates must be willing to work 40+ hours, 5 days a week. Candidates must be available to work Tuesday - Sunday. Located in Rittenhouse Square, Little Water is the latest restaurant of husband-and-wife team (James Beard-nominated) Chef Randy Rucker and Amanda Rucker. Inspired by the Ruckers' experiences living along the Gulf Coast, New England, and Mid-Atlantic regions, Little Water is a contemporary coastal restaurant that celebrates the ecological diversity of life by the sea.
Bartender Key Responsibilities:
To provide courteous, prompt service to our guests. Prepare beverage orders for bar and dining areas, adhering to recipes. Navigates the POS system (Toast) to input guest orders, fire courses and process payments in a timely manner. Perform assigned opening and closing side work. Maintain complete working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings. Communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staff. Help to maintain the utmost clean and presentable work environment. Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service. Be safety conscious to promote the safety of one's self, co-workers and guests at all times. Adhere to company policy and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant operation. Passionate about the formulation and execution of modern cocktails. Prior related experience requiring cash handling, excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing the needs of guests. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Disciplined and attentive to detail. RAMP, ServSafe Certifications.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting.
