Position-Tap Room Bartender Job Summary:

Strange Roots Experimental Ales is seeking a part-time Bartender to join our team and work at our New Kensington location. We are looking for someone that is passionate about beer and has a fun, friendly and interesting personality. The right candidate will preferably have experience working as a bartender/server, however, we are willing to train the right individuals.

About you:

We are looking for a well-qualified individual who are committed to his/her responsibilities and passionate about promoting the Strange Roots brand. Excellent interpersonal communication skills Must be at least 21 years of age experience serving /bartending in a fast paced service industry establishment (willing to train exceptional candidates) Available Wednesday-Sunday Strong customer service skills and friendly personality Must be able to communicate calm, professionally and clearly with patrons, team members and owners. Knowledge and interest in craft brewing Proficient with POS Strong work ethic and positive attitude comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. RAMP certified- we will be willing to provide training/certification for the right candidate Take orders from patrons and serve beverages; check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages Inform customers about our story and answer questions as needed from customers Maintain working knowledge of the descriptions of each beer, including basic ingredients, preparation and flowing description phrases Know and understand the fundamentals of our beers, story and mission. Work as a team with other staff to ensure a smooth and successful working environment Complete all necessary side work for each shift as determined by your manger
