Bartender - Part Time

Overview City Kitchen is an elevated, hybrid food hall located in the heart of the historic Bakery Square campus. We are a high-volume operation featuring a diverse culinary collective from Shaka Restaurant Group, including brands like Somi, Shaka, Elevate, and Charred . We are looking for professional, craft-conscious bartenders to join our elite team in providing "unreasonable hospitality" to our guests. Role & Responsibilities As a Bartender, you are a critical representative of our brand standards for excellence.

Service Excellence:

Prepare high-quality cocktails, craft beer pours, and non-alcoholic beverages according to house recipes and standardized pricing/pours.

Compliance:

Strictly enforce Pennsylvania liquor laws by checking IDs for any guest who appears under 30 and monitoring for visible intoxication (VIPs).

Operations:

Maintain strict inventory control, operate the Toast POS for accurate cash reconciliation, and complete all prep and cleaning tasks.

Teamwork:

Collaborate with Barbacks and Drink Runners in an "all-hands" environment to ensure seamless floor service. Experience Previous experience working as a bartender in high volume establishments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is essential for efficient order processing. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Demonstrated ability in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding alcohol laws. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service. Experience in retail math, cash handling, cashiering, and basic math skills are necessary for accurate transactions. Background in hospitality or food industry roles that involve customer service, catering, or food service is beneficial.
