As a key team member, you will ensure the bar and service areas are clean, well-stocked, and ready to create memorable moments for our guests. All positions are paid, offering valuable experience in the hospitality industry. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including cleaning glasses, work surfaces to uphold health standards. Assist with cut-fruit preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks and preparing simple bar snacks or appetizers. Restock bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, glassware, and utensils to ensure smooth service flow. Support bartenders by bussing tables, clearing empty glasses, and managing customer needs promptly. Help with live music events by setting up and moving tables, chairs, trash cans, and sometimes other heavier equipment. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service efforts and enhance guest satisfaction. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments such as nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, or catering is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems including Toast POS and Square POS is a plus. Experience with cleaning procedures, food preparation, bussing, and food handling enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of the bar industry standards related to safety and sanitation is important. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and providing excellent customer service. Our Barbacks will also once in awhile act as security or bouncers, since we are a live music venue and there oftentimes is a need for the Barback to support the door security's decisions. Prior bartending or barback experience in a nightclub or hotel setting will be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently during busy hours while maintaining a positive attitude.
