Join the team at Fairfield Inn & Suites Austin Downtown, where we strive to provide exceptional service in our 76 East Bar. We're looking for adaptive, team-oriented individuals to help us deliver quality food and beverage experiences to our guests.

Job Description:

As a Bartender at our hotel, you will be at the forefront of our guest experience. Your responsibilities include preparing and serving food and beverage items, ensuring all products meet Marriott Brand Standards. You'll be expected to interact with guests, make cocktail drinks, serve beer and wine, and operate various kitchen and bar equipment to prepare food and serve the food as well. The role requires flexibility, including availability for PM shifts and weekends. Starting pay is $12.00 an hour + tips.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests. Prepare and serve made-to-order food and beverage items, including cocktails, beer, and wine. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas. Operate kitchen and bar equipment, including beer dispensers, coffee brewers, and some cooking appliances. Ensure compliance with Brand Standards and Health Department requirements. Manage inventory, stock the bar, and assist with meeting room setups as needed. Process orders and handle transactions using the Micros register system. Resolve guest issues and exceed their expectations using empowerment. Perform additional duties as required to support the team. Keep up with inventory, and notify management of any orders needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in bartending is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A team player with a strong initiative and a desire for achievement. Ability to verify customers' IDs and monitor beverage consumption responsibly. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms throughout the shift.
