Job Description
Lenoir is a family-owned, Michelin-recommended restaurant in the heart of the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. We serve a locally-sourced, seasonal menu and natural wine list. We're open every night, except Tuesday, for dinner in our dining room and in our backyard wine garden. We're looking for an experienced wine & hospitality professional to join our team as a floor sommelier.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Deliver outstanding floor service and wine guidance to guestsLead and facilitate weekly staff wine training sessions each weekCollaborate with the owners & management to develop and refine the wine listConduct weekly wine inventory and maintain accurate recordsFoster the love of wine and food within the staffHelp to grow and maintain new members in our Wine Club from its current membershipUphold the Lenoir standard of hospitality at all timesOur ideal candidate should possess:
Minimum 3 years of high level restaurant experienceFamiliarity with putting together a wine listAn obsession with sustainability and supporting small farmers & producersStrong communication and leadership skillsWarm and courteous table-side mannerA sense of pride in work and ownership of responsibilitiesA passion for food, wine & hospitalityFlexibility in work availabilityA high level of maturity, honesty and dependabilityA positive attitude and a willingness to make things work, even in high-stress momentsWine training and certification (WSET, CMS or equivalent) preferred, but not requiredIn return, we offer the right person:
