GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The bar back supports bartenders by maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and helping deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service to guests. A successful bar back is proactive, detail-oriented, and works with a high level of energy to support the team and enhance the overall guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

) Complete all opening, during shift, and closing duties. 2.) Restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and all bar supplies as needed. 3.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including counters, sinks, storage areas, and floors. 4.) Assist bartenders by clearing glassware, washing dishes, and resetting the bar quickly. 5.) Change kegs and ensure beer systems are functioning properly. 6.) Refill ice bins and maintain adequate ice levels throughout the shift. 7.) Prepare and restock garnishes according to Jakes standards. 8.) Remove trash and recycling regularly to maintain a clean workspace. 9.) Sweep, mop, and scrub floors as needed. 10.) Maintain cleanliness of walk-ins, storage areas, and bar equipment. 11.) Support bartenders in high-volume situations to ensure timely service. 12.) Follow all cleaning and operational guidelines outlined by management. 13.) Be a high-energy, self-motivated team member who communicates effectively with the team. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. Previous restaurant or bar experience is a plus. Must meet minimum age requirements based on state alcohol laws.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to understand instructions, communicate with team members, and assist in maintaining efficient service flow.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations with minimal direction.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must attend Orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Jakes Employee Handbook. Must complete all required training programs. May be required to obtain food handler and/or alcohol certification depending on local regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

As a Jakes bar back, you will be standing and moving for the duration of your shift. You may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
