Job Description
Position Summary As a Bartender at The Fairway Club, you'll be much more than someone who pours drinks. You'll be responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by serving beverages responsibly, keeping the bar organized, maintaining inventory, and helping ensure every guest has a great visit. Our ideal candidate is friendly, hardworking, self-motivated, and takes pride in keeping a clean, organized workspace. Responsibilities Guest Service Welcome every guest with a friendly attitude. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Verify IDs and comply with all Texas alcohol laws. Monitor guests and serve alcohol responsibly. Answer menu questions and recommend beverages. Maintain a positive, professional attitude throughout every shift. Bar Operations Fill ice bins. Prepare garnishes. Stock coolers, cups, and glassware. Verify draft beer systems are operating properly. Keep the bar clean and organized throughout the shift. Restock inventory as needed. Notify management when inventory is running low. Opening Duties Complete all opening procedures. Prepare the bar for service. Ensure supplies are fully stocked before opening. Closing Duties Wash and sanitize all glassware. Restock coolers. Empty trash. Clean and sanitize the entire bar area. Sweep and mop floors. Record inventory shortages before leaving. These responsibilities are based on our bartender operating procedures. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred). Previous bartending or restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with excellent attendance. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Texas TABC Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
