About the RoleAs a Bartender at Brooklyn's Down South, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience shaking, stirring, and serving with skill and personality. We're building a bar program we're proud of, and we want someone who's as excited about that process as we are. Key ResponsibilitiesCraft & ServicePrepare and serve classic and original cocktails with consistency, creativity, and attention to detailMaintain deep knowledge of our full drink menu spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offeringsProvide warm, attentive, and personalized service that makes every guest feel welcomeBar OperationsSet up and break down the bar efficiently at the start and end of each shiftKeep the bar clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety standards at all timesHandle cash and POS transactions accuratelyGuest ExperienceEngage guests genuinely read the room, tell the story behind a cocktail, make recommendationsHandle guest concerns with professionalism and a solutions-first mindsetBuild regulars by creating memorable experiences, not just transactionsTeam & CultureCollaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless dining experienceEmbrace change, bring fresh energy, and contribute ideas that help the bar program growShow up as a positive, reliable presence that the whole team can count on
