About the Role As a Bartender at Brooklyn's Down South, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience shaking, stirring, and serving with skill and personality. We're building a bar program we're proud of, and we want someone who's as excited about that process as we are. Key Responsibilities Craft & Service Prepare and serve classic and original cocktails with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail Maintain deep knowledge of our full drink menu spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service that makes every guest feel welcome Bar Operations Set up and break down the bar efficiently at the start and end of each shift Monitor and maintain bar inventory, flag low stock, and assist with ordering as needed Keep the bar clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety standards at all times Handle cash and POS transactions accurately Guest Experience Engage guests genuinely read the room, tell the story behind a cocktail, make recommendations Handle guest concerns with professionalism and a solutions-first mindset Build regulars by creating memorable experiences, not just transactions Team & Culture Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless dining experience Embrace change, bring fresh energy, and contribute ideas that help the bar program grow Show up as a positive, reliable presence that the whole team can count on What We're Looking For 2+ years of bartending experience, with a strong focus on craft cocktails Genuine passion for mixology and the hospitality industry Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and current cocktail trends

Pay:

$16.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 36.0 per week
