ABOUT OTTINE MINERAL SPRINGS
Ottine Mineral Springs, nestled beside Palmetto State Park, is a historic treasure renowned for its rich legacy and commitment to health and wellness. Our extraordinary waters are rich in natural minerals and have long been known to promote relaxation, reduce stress and support overall well-being. Today, we carry on this tradition by offering a peaceful retreat where guests can experience the rejuvenating power of these waters in a calming setting that only nature can provide.
POSITION
BARTENDER The Bartender at Ottine Mineral Springs is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while providing exceptional service. This role entails crafting healthy, innovative beverages that align with the resort's wellness philosophy, ensuring a delightful experience that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation. The Bartender plays a crucial role in maintaining the resort's focus on wellness, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position is part of an exciting new restaurant concept opening within our resort in mid-August 2026. Official start dates expected to be finalized in early August. This position requires some nights, weekends and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Approach all guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Develop and create new drink recipes that emphasize health and wellness.
  • Engage guests in conversation, providing recommendations based on their preferences and dietary needs.
  • Address any guest concerns or requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to resort's dress code policy.
  • Monitor and manage waste
  • Attend required staff meetings.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and wellness practitioners to create synergistic offerings that enhance the guest experience.
  • Participate in training sessions to continuously improve service skills and product knowledge.
  • Process payments accurately and manage cash register operations.
  • Assist in tracking daily sales and reporting to management.
  • Have knowledge of all resort facilities, hours of operation, restaurants, pools, and event spaces.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Due to changing operational demands and the need to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Certification in bartending or mixology is a plus.
  • Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for health and wellness, with a willingness to learn about new trends and ingredients.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service.
  • CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION
