The Playground at Niederwald is a rugged outdoor country destination just outside Austin featuring a full-service bar, food trucks, coffee truck, jumpy pillow, live events, and plenty of room for families, friends, and the community to gather. Think cold beer, live music, outdoor fun, and a laid-back Texas atmosphere where people can kick back and have a good time. We are looking for dependable, hardworking bartenders who enjoy hospitality, country culture, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. Because we're building this concept from the ground up, we need team members who are flexible, self-motivated, and excited to grow with us as the business expands. This is not a polished corporate bar environment — it's boots-on-the-ground hospitality where teamwork, hustle, and personality matter. Everyone pitches in to help keep the property clean, welcoming, and running smoothly. Pay We are currently offering $10/hour plus tips during our startup and growth phase while we build consistent traffic and operations. As business stabilizes and service flow becomes sustainable, compensation will transition to the standard Texas tipped service wage plus tips . Our goal is to create a strong tipping environment where hardworking bartenders can make great money while being part of building something exciting from the beginning. Responsibilities Prepare and serve beer, cocktails, wine, and specialty drinks efficiently and consistently Provide friendly, down-to-earth customer service to guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding areas Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and daily prep Operate POS systems and handle cash/card transactions accurately Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs Ensure responsible alcohol service and follow all TABC guidelines Maintain beverage quality and consistency during busy shifts and events Help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for guests Check and maintain restroom cleanliness throughout shifts Change trash throughout the property as needed Help keep outdoor grounds clean, organized, and guest-ready Assist with simple food preparation, including making pizzas and other quick-service items Support teammates and jump into other tasks when needed Work comfortably in an outdoor, fast-paced environment Follow sanitation and food safety standards at all times Qualifications Previous bartending experience preferred TABC certification required or willingness to obtain immediately Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working in fast-paced outdoor environments Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Weekend and evening availability required Experience with patios, breweries, live music venues, events, or entertainment venues is a plus What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Loves hospitality and creating great guest experiences Enjoys country bar culture and lively outdoor environments Brings positive energy and works well with a team Understands that everyone helps wherever needed Can hustle during busy nights while staying friendly and professional Is flexible and excited to help build a new business from the ground up Wants to grow with our team as The Playground continues expanding If you're looking for a fun, fast-paced outdoor environment where you can be part of building something special from day one, we'd love to hear from you.
