This role is integral to delivering a premium hospitality experience rooted in knowledge, attentiveness, and elevated service standards. As a Barback / Server, you will support bar operations, assist in guest service, and help maintain the lounge's upscale, clean, and well-stocked environment. You will play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless experience—from cigar selection to beverage service—while contributing to the sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere Porciones is known for. Key Responsibilities Support bartenders and leadership by maintaining a fully stocked, clean, and organized bar at all times Properly handle and maintain glassware, bar tools, and service areas to meet Porciones' high presentation standards Assist in preparing garnishes, simple bar accompaniments, and ensuring all service elements are ready for execution Provide attentive and knowledgeable table service, including delivering cigars, beverages, and lounge offerings Maintain cleanliness throughout the lounge, including bussing tables promptly and resetting seating areas with precision Uphold strict cleanliness and sanitation standards, especially in a smoking environment requiring elevated air quality care Operate POS systems accurately for order entry and transaction handling Assist with lounge setup and breakdown, including private events or member experiences Communicate effectively with bartenders, managers, and team members to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours Anticipate guest needs and deliver service that reflects Porciones' commitment to hospitality excellence Preferred Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in upscale lounges, bars, restaurants, or hotel environments Strong understanding of customer service with an emphasis on attentiveness, professionalism, and guest engagement Familiarity with POS systems (experience with modern hospitality POS platforms is a plus) Experience with food handling, beverage service, or bar support roles Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work cohesively within a team Interest or willingness to learn about cigars, whiskey, and pairing experiences High standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation Why Porciones At Porciones, we are building more than a lounge—we are creating a destination rooted in tradition, luxury, and community.
