Job Description

The Happy Cow is looking for an energetic, friendly, social, ethical and responsible bartender. Bartender experience is preferred but not absolutely necessary. We will train candidates to bartend who may only have experience as a server. The job requires responsible serving of alcohol and candidate must have or will get their TABC certificate shortly after hired. The candidate must be available to work weekday shifts as well as weekends. The majority of the time, the candidate will run a "one-person show" meaning responsibilities include running food, bussing/cleaning tables and stocking beer in addition to serving drinks. During these shifts, the bartender keeps 100% of the tips earned and does not tip anyone out at the end of the shift. Because of the fact that the candidate will run a "one-person show", consistent attendance is extremely important. Concert nights (Fri & Sat) are staffed with multiple bartenders and tips are split accordingly. We are located in Hunter, TX, halfway between San Marcos and New Braunfels. Reliable transportation is required. One other benefit is that we are in Comal County, which means we close at midnight every night except for 1:00 am on Saturdays. No getting home from work at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning!
