Job Summary The Bartender at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to hotel guests, conference attendees, and local patrons. This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong product knowledge, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining Marriott brand standards. The Bartender plays a key role in delivering memorable guest experiences in our bar, lounge, and event spaces. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, portion control, and Marriott brand standards Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests at the bar and surrounding service areas Engage with guests in a professional and welcoming manner, anticipating needs and making recommendations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area before, during, and after shifts Accurately process guest orders and payments using the POS system Follow all cash-handling, credit card, and accounting procedures Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol laws, including checking guest identification and practicing responsible alcohol service Monitor guest consumption and address any issues discreetly and professionally Collaborate with servers, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Qualifications Previous bartending experience preferred (hotel or high-volume environment a plus) Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Must be at least 21 years of age (or as required by state law) Valid alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, supplies) Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions Schedule & Availability Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and during conferences or special events The pay range for this role is: 6.15 - 6.15 USD per hour(Provo Marriott)
