Bartender Alexandria, VA 22312 Full-time Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will craft exceptional drinks, deliver outstanding customer service, and create memorable experiences for our guests. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a lively, welcoming atmosphere where patrons feel valued and engaged. Whether working in a lively nightclub, elegant restaurant, or bustling banquet setting, you will be the heart of the bar experience, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic options. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies. Manage cash handling and POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure accurate billing. Monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible serving and adhere to food safety regulations. Restock bar supplies as needed and coordinate with kitchen staff for food service or catering events. Uphold all food handling, safety standards, and licensing regulations in accordance with local health codes. Qualifications Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy shifts. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele positively. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and tab management. Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service policies. Experience with serving at large events like banquets or catering is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
