Full job description Bartender Job Purpose As a bartender at Skyline Sportsbar, your job is to make and serve drinks—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—while giving guests a great experience. You'll follow our recipes, keep the bar area clean, and help make sure everyone feels welcome and safe. Main Duties Create a friendly and fun atmosphere for guests at the bar. Check ID for anyone who looks under 40 and is ordering alcohol. Make and serve drinks quickly, accurately, and with the right garnishes. Chat with guests while making drinks and provide great customer service. Know the menu well so you can recommend drinks and food. Suggest drinks or food items that go well together. Keep your bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked. Use the POS system to take orders and handle payments correctly. Follow all company rules, including those about serving alcohol responsibly. Help bring back guests by giving them a great experience and promoting specials. Know how to handle situations when a guest has had too much to drink. What You Help Decide Make sure guests have a great experience. Always follow the rules for safe alcohol service. What Success Looks Like Happy guests who enjoy their time at the bar. Bar area is always clean and ready to serve. Drinks are made exactly as the recipe says. All money and payments are handled correctly. You complete any training or skill checks we do, such as bartender contests or reviews. What You Need Be clean and dressed according to our dress code. Able to make drinks quickly and correctly during busy hours. Must meet any legal requirements (like alcohol service training or certificates). Able to use the POS system, give change, and handle credit card payments. Stay calm and polite even if a guest is upset or drunk. Able to listen and speak clearly with guests. Comfortable working in a loud, fast-moving place. Able to lift up to 30 lbs and do physical tasks like bending, reaching, stirring, and standing for long periods. Able to regularly put hands in hot water for cleaning.
