About Us Old School Cider House is a community‑driven restaurant, taproom and event venue known for cider, good food, consistent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Our Lead Bartender plays a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth bar operations during regular service, busy weekends, and private events. Position Overview The Lead Bartender oversees bar operations during assigned shifts, provides exceptional guest service, supports bartenders and servers, and ensures the bar is stocked, clean, and running efficiently. This role combines hands‑on bartending with leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to all guests Lead bar operations during shifts, ensuring consistency and accuracy Training, guidance, and problem‑solving Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and bar presentation Pour cider, beer, wine, and NA beverages to proper standards Follow and enforce ABC regulations and responsible service practices Monitor guest consumption and maintain a safe environment Oversee restocking of cider, beverages, glassware, and supplies Maintain tap cleanliness, keg rotation, and bar equipment readiness Operate Toast POS accurately; assist staff with tabs, payments, and tip‑share procedures Communicate clearly with kitchen, event staff, and management Assist with setup and breakdown during live music nights and private events Support opening, shift, and closing procedures and ensure checklists are completed Identify issues during service and resolve them quickly and professionally Qualifications Bartending experience required; lead or supervisory experience preferred Strong customer service skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude Ability to multitask and lead during high‑volume periods Comfortable standing for long periods Reliable weekend and evening availability Work Environment Busy taproom with a friendly local crowd Live music nights and private events Small, tight‑knit team with emphasis on communication and reliability Leadership role with hands‑on service responsibilities Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly pay based on experience Tip‑share or service‑charge distribution Shift meals Opportunities for leadership growth and cross‑training We welcome experienced bartenders ready to take on a leadership role in a growing, community‑focused taproom.
