We're looking for an energetic, personable, and passionate individual to help bring it all together. Position Overview This is not your average part-time job. As a Retail Associate / Bartender at Shrewd Outdoors, you'll wear multiple hats — helping customers find the right archery gear, getting them set up on the range, and then pouring them a cold drink to cap off a great session. Key Responsibilities Retail & Pro Shop:

Welcome customers as they enter the store and provide a warm, knowledgeable experience Assist customers in selecting bows, arrows, accessories, apparel, and archery-related merchandise Answer product questions with confidence and enthusiasm — sharing your love of the sport is part of the job Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately using the point-of-sale system Restock shelves, maintain product displays, and keep the retail floor clean and organized Stay informed on Shrewd Archery products, new arrivals, and ongoing promotions

Archery Range:

Check in customers for range sessions, explain range rules, and ensure a safe environment for all shooters Assist beginners and walk-in customers with basic range orientation and equipment selection Monitor the range floor for safety compliance and address any concerns promptly Help customers with basic equipment questions while on the range Keep the range area clean, organized, and properly stocked with targets, arrows, and supplies Create an inviting, fun atmosphere that keeps customers coming back Bar /

Beverage Service:

Greet bar customers with a friendly attitude and take beverage orders efficiently Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Virginia ABC regulations Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area at all times Check IDs and adhere strictly to responsible alcohol service practices Engage customers in conversation — talk archery, talk shop, make people feel at home Handle cash and card transactions at the bar accurately

Qualifications Required:

Must be 21 years of age or older Strong communication and customer service skills Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment Reliable, punctual, and a true team player Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods

Preferred:

Prior bartending or beverage service experience Knowledge of and passion for archery — whether you're a competitive shooter or a backyard enthusiast, we want to hear about it Previous retail or hospitality experience Virginia TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Basic familiarity with archery equipment and terminology Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Comfortable in an active, open range environment Schedule This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, as those are our busiest times on the range and at the bar. Hours will vary based on business needs.

Pay:

$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
