Job Description

Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA, is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country. Key Responsibilities As a Team Member, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Kitchen & Food Prep:
Assist with food preparation, grilling, and general kitchen operations to ensure high-quality menu items.
Customer Service:
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently with a friendly attitude.
Order Fulfillment:
Prepare and serve food orders in a timely manner, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
Cash Handling:
Process customer payments securely and provide accurate change.
Cleanliness & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment. This includes mopping floors, taking out trash, washing dishes, and sanitizing work surfaces.
Inventory & Restocking:
Monitor and restock food, beverages, paper products, and other supplies as needed throughout your shift.
Compliance:
Strictly follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Team Support:
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support smooth daily operations. Qualifications & Skills We are looking for candidates who bring positive energy and a strong work ethic. The ideal team member meets the following criteria:
Experience:
Previous experience in a fast-food, quick-service, or food service environment is preferred, but not required —we are happy to train the right person!
Pace & Multitasking:
Ability to work effectively and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
Core Skills:
Strong teamwork, active listening, and excellent communication skills.
Basic Math:
Comfortable handling cash transactions and accurately making change.
Attitude:
Dependable, punctual, and possesses a positive, can-do attitude. Physical & Availability Requirements Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
