Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Server, Bartender, or an Event Staff member and become a vital part of creating unforgettable experiences! In this lively role, you will deliver exceptional service at a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, luncheons, and banquets. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure guests enjoy seamless food and beverage service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Whether mixing cocktails, serving plated meals, or assisting with event setup and breakdown, your energy will help craft memorable moments for every guest. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout the event, dinner, or function. Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks using proper techniques. Serve food courses efficiently and accurately according to event specifications. Operate POS systems Toast to process orders, payments, and handle cash or credit transactions securely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas in compliance with food safety standards. Assist with event setup, breakdown, and catering logistics to ensure smooth operations. Manage multiple tables or stations effectively through excellent time management skills while prioritizing guest needs. Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction at all times. Skills Proven experience in food service environments such as fine dining, banquet halls, nightclubs, or catering events. Strong knowledge of POS system Toast for accurate order processing and cash handling. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or stations simultaneously. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and billing accuracy. Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with Vermont licensing regulations; knowledge of brewing or bar operations is a plus. Familiarity with large-scale events is advantageous.
