Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for personable, energetic, and professional Bartenders and Servers to join our team at Cafe Hitchcock. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, provides exceptional customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for mixing drinks, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests promptly and courteously Take food and beverage orders accurately Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions Ensure guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining area Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements:
Prior experience as a bartender or server preferred Must meet the legal age to serve alcohol Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Basic math skills and POS system experience Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws and regulations Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is a plus Qualifications Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer service principles and steps of service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Have an interest in developing a broader knowledge of food beer wine and spirits offerings Valid Washington State Alcohol Server Permit Current WA Food Workers Card Opportunity to work with a diverse team
