Position Summary The Bartender / Shucker is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while supporting daily Front of House operations, including bar service, oyster preparation, and dining area maintenance. This position contributes directly to the overall guest experience by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, strong teamwork, and consistent operational standards. Successful team members are self-starters who approach their work with initiative, professionalism, and a solution-oriented mindset. This role requires enthusiasm for teamwork and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to support operations and ensure smooth service. Key Responsibilities Provide welcoming, attentive service and contribute to a positive environment for guests and coworkers Take orders using TOAST POS and assist guests with QR ordering when applicable Shuck oysters to order and maintain a clean, fully stocked, and properly iced oyster station Develop and maintain knowledge of oyster varieties, origins, and flavor profiles Pour tap beverages and prepare cocktails accurately and efficiently Run food, assist with plating when needed, and support kitchen cleanup as necessary Maintain cleanliness of bar, dining areas, restrooms, outdoor seating, and service stations Monitor and restock supplies, reach-ins, merchandise, and guest-facing stations Communicate low inventory items and operational needs to leadership Answer phones and assist with guest orders Support recycling, organization, and overall facility cleanliness Demonstrate intentional learning of role responsibilities and support teammates in developing skills and confidence Contribute to a respectful, collaborative workplace culture through teamwork and solution-oriented problem solving Required Qualifications Valid MAST permit Valid Food Handler's Card Ability to stand for the duration of the shift Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to excellent customer service and positive workplace culture Work Environment & Physical Requirements Fast-paced food service environment Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand movement throughout shift Indoor and outdoor work depending on operational needs Equal Opportunity Statement Salty Girls is an equal opportunity employer.
