Job Description
Job Overview Kamps Bar & Grill is seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our team! In addition to bartending, we may also have some waitstaff shifts available on our high volume Friday nights. This position is part time to start, but full time hours could be available for the right person. Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, ensuring consistency and quality. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their experience. Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for efficient order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times. Restock bar supplies, ingredients, glassware, and utensils as needed to keep the bar fully equipped during busy hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills and tips, and process payments efficiently. (Waitstaff) Take food and drink orders with accuracy. Wait on customers with warmth and respect. Requirements Experience as a bartender is highly preferred, but not entirely necessary. Strong knowledge of responsible serving practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders simultaneously. Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts, prioritizing tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and retail math calculations. Previous experience in retail math or hospitality roles involving brewing or catering is a plus. Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving alcohol responsibly and ensuring guest safety.
