Job Description

Varsity Bar & Grill is looking for a friendly, trustworthy bartender who genuinely enjoys getting to know guests and building long-term relationships. Thursday Days are not about speed or chaos — they are about taking care of fantastic regular customers, remembering names, and creating a welcoming atmosphere people want to come back to. Friday Night Fish Fry's where you will work as a team of servers to make the constant crowd feel taken care of. If you are technically capable but cold, this is not the right fit. If you are warm, reliable, and honest — and know your way behind a bar — we want to talk to you. What Matters Most to Us Friendly, engaging personality Honest and dependable Comfortable talking with regulars and building relationships Team-first mindset Calm, steady bar presence Experience Required Previous bartending experience required Comfortable making common drinks without recipes Able to handle bar service and table service when guests are seated Confident handling cash and Toast POS Thursday days are a bartender-led floor — guests may sit at the bar or tables, and you'll take care of both. Friday night serving are rotational tables sections while you have the power to make your own drinks to speed up service. Compensation Base wage + tips Thursday Day tips average $175+ per 7-hour shift, driven by loyal regulars Earnings reflect guest connection and service quality Friday night serving averages $250+ per 5 hour shift, driven by loyal fish eaters

  • Bartending (First Cut) Additional fill-in shifts available We need to fill both shifts for Friday nights.
