Job Overview Mullen's Dairy Bar is seeking out team members to assist in maintaining our unique legacy through the autumn season and beyond! In this role, you'll serve exceptional local food, learn how to craft classic sodas, malts, and sundaes, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop creative culinary and hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, fun setting. Join us in creating special experiences at this historical & legendary business! Students welcome! Duties Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems. Prepare and serve classic sodas, milkshakes, and other specialty drinks with precision and flair- it's an art form! Process cash transactions efficiently while managing sales through POS systems and handling cash with accuracy. Upsell menu items like specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Take pride in our historical business by maintaining cleanliness of the serving area, soda fountain, and dining room. Provide a great experience to our guests by responding promptly to customer inquiries and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Maintain food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and ensure proper food handling. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is valued, but not necessary. If you're willing to learn, we are more than happy to train you! Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. A strong eye for detail! Experience in keeping a friendly attitude to foster guest loyalty. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
